Olivia Thomas

Liv is both an educator and an advocate for high quality early childhood education. She seeks to combine her passion, energy, and love of data to build a safe, loving, and joyous classroom. She was born and raised in a small town in New Jersey and moved to California to attend Stanford University, where she received her Bachelor's in Human Biology with a focus on Youth Development and Mental Health. Liv became deeply interested in early childhood education during her time at Stanford and went on to join the Teach for America corps, teaching preschool in Richmond. She instantly fell in love with teaching and knew that this would be a lifelong career. She then decided to complete her Master's in Education at Johns Hopkins University. Her favorite part about teaching is seeing the moment when a child first discovers they are actually reading! Liv is thrilled to be a part of The Primary School's team and vision of creating a more comprehensive and holistic education for kids.
