Gina’s early interest in attachment psychology led to a career as a First 5 Home Visitor and Medical Social Worker, wherein she developed a deep ethos for providing compassionate, high quality care to every child and family. Later, Gina worked as a qualitative researcher at UC Berkeley, which led to a school design position in East Oakland addressing career readiness and college persistence. Gina’s design and research experiences are driven by the desire for children’s and families’ voices to be at the heart of intervention and innovation. She is excited to unearth and share the exciting work of the Primary School.
Gina holds a BA in Psychology from UC Davis, and a Masters in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley. She loves dancing, eating pasta, and moonlights as a Design Instructor at Stanford’s dSchool.
