Jason Chu

Jason Chu is the Dean of Operations at the new Hayward campus.  He grew up in Rancho Cucamonga, CA (southern California) and earned his BA in Economics at UC Berkeley.  He started his education career in Oakland, CA where he served as a credentialed classroom teacher, principal and acting director of a charter school organization.  Jason then co-founded and operated his own summer enrichment program that served families in East Oakland, CA.  He was then recruited by a SF-based consulting firm (pharmaceutical/ biotech/ medical device industries) where he gained corporate experience as an operations analyst and talent acquisition strategist.  Most recently he served as a program manager overseeing the enrichment programs (extended day, Saturday and summer programming) at a charter school in Richmond, CA.  Jason speaks Korean, enjoys all nature activities, and loves to play/ watch/ talk basketball.  He is super stoked to join The Primary School and committed to supporting the Hayward community, whatever it takes!
