Madeline Yeo

Madeline aspires to facilitate the creation of learning experiences which give students a sense of agency, empowering them to believe that they have the capacity to attain success in life and to bring their dreams to fruition.

For more than twenty years in Singapore, Madeline enjoyed classroom teaching and made notable contributions in various Head of Department positions—in English, Character and Citizenship Education, Gifted Education, and Curriculum Development. In particular, she values how these roles gave her the opportunity to closely collaborate with teachers on curriculum design and implementation, as they worked together to adopt differentiation strategies that met the students’ individual learning needs. Furthermore, the joint projects she embarked on then with partner schools and organizations in Asia, Australia, Central Europe, and the U.K. have deeply enriched her with a broadened worldview. Subsequently, Madeline relocated to the Bay Area and joined an elementary school where her work focused on student support and giftedness.

Madeline earned a BA in English Literature from National University of Singapore. In addition, she obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, a Diploma in Departmental Management, and a Certificate in Special Needs Support from National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Madeline also completed a Purdue University Gifted and Talented Licensure Program, and a Strategic Leadership Development Program offered by the University of Minnesota.

Outside of work, Madeline is an avid traveler who relishes cross-cultural experiences. She is currently making progress in learning a new language.
