Ashlin Gomez-Yamout

Ashlin grew up in Salinas, California. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from University of San Diego. During her time in San Diego she discovered her passion for working in education. Her experience as reading and writing tutor for a local middle school led her to pursue a career as a teacher. After graduating from University of San Diego she moved to New York to attend Teachers College Columbia University. During her time at Columbia University she was able to experience teaching in the New York City public school system. She served as student teacher in 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms. 

Upon graduating with her Master’s degree in Elementary Inclusive Education she moved to the Bay Area. Before joining The Primary School Ashlin taught second grade in Sunnyvale. The Primary School’s mission for student, family, and community growth aligns with her commitment to cultivate relationships and educate the whole child. Ashlin is very excited to be teaching at The Primary School and work with the East Palo Alto community!
