Week 10: Story Illustrations & BOOK COMPLETION (Nov. 15)

Purpose: This week, you will add any finishing touches to your project. Maybe that is formatting, editing, adding colors or images! This is the week to make the final product beautiful! Please make sure to share your final product with Vida (vida.amanat@theprimaryschool.org)

Practice: You and your mentee can think creatively about how to illustrate your book. You can:

• Practice googling images to copy and paste into your story book (remember to first google images on your own without the screen-share to ensure that you don’t expose your mentee to inappropriate images).

• Try drawing pictures to illustrate the story and take photos of your illustrations to upload to your book

• Take photos while in-person or over zoom of you acting out the story

• Act out the story with puppets or toys and upload images of the scenes to your story book

Practice: Please share your finished project with Vida (vida.amanat@theprimaryschool.org). This week Vida will work to print your story and share a physical copy with your mentee to take home :)

Tips: With the extra time that you have, please continue the practice of reading books together :)
