Megha Makam, an art fellow at EPACENTER ARTS, teaches our first graders Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art form that involves dancing, drumming, and singing.
A staff member from the East Palo Alto Library leads a workshop about the monarch butterfly and helps students plant milkweed seeds (which monarch caterpillars like to eat).
When our students visited the Ravenswood Family Health Center, they got to watch Spiderman and a pediatrician demonstrate what it’s like to get a check up.
Our preschoolers worked with Taqueria La Cazuela to raise money for a local three-year-old who is battling cancer.
