Maria Rangel

Maria Rangel was born in Mexico and raised in Hayward, California. She attended all Hayward schools. Maria’s love for children began in 2006 when she was asked by a high school teacher to support a preschool classroom as a helper. She started to fulfill her career path by attending Chabot College and earned an A.A degree in Liberal Arts in 2010. Furthermore, Maria’s passion for youth became a big part of her career when she joined (YEP) Youth Enrichment Program. It is an after-school program for the Hayward Unified School District. She worked as a YEP leader at an elementary school, serving all age groups from K-6th. Therefore, she had no doubt that was the path that she wanted to take and acquired a B.A. in Early Childhood Education in 2017 from Ashford University.

Maria’s achievements career wise is having the ability to give back to the community and teaching youth how to be leaders and guide them to be successful in their academics. She is passionate and eager to learn from peers. Maria strongly believes the importance of creating a warm and safe environment in the classroom. Also, her goal is to accommodate students' needs and build positive relationships with staff and youth.

Therefore, she is excited to join The Primary School and continue to grow along with the children and support every child’s need.
