Adelaide grew up in Alabama and came to California to attend Stanford University. She studied Earth Systems with a minor in Spanish. She put her passion for food and the environment to work as a garden educator at Collective Roots. In this role, she collaborated with schools and nonprofits in East Palo Alto and came to admire EPA’s history of activism and present leadership in racial and environmental justice. She completed her Master’s in Elementary STEM Education at Tufts University and taught first grade for three years in Massachusetts before moving back to the Bay Area. Adelaide was drawn to The Primary School’s holistic approach to education, which aligns with her commitment to respectful, responsive relationships with students and families.

Adelaide brings a growth mindset to her work and thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. She aims for students in her class to feel safe, supported, and challenged as they take on the big work of first grade!
