Kameelah Davis

Kameelah continues to strive to make the best outcome towards children and their success. It began with school-age children, but transitioned to early childhood in 2004. Throughout those 19 years in the early childhood education field, she experienced educating infants to preschool age children. She worked for early head start/head start programs, public schools, city-state funded early childhood programs, and a Therapeutic Nursery School (serving children and families with traumatic experience). Kameelah strongly believes in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) and how it can have a huge impact on a child's well-being.

Kameelah held the position of a teacher, family program specialist, site supervisor, to a Center Manager. Kameelah has a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and 44 units in Early Childhood Education. She also has an association of art degree in African American Studies, Psychology, and Sociology. She experienced passing NAEYC Accreditation, which taught her the importance of community engagement, parent participation, relationship building with children, teaching staff, and parents, and how to ensure a high-quality learning environment for children from birth to 5 years old.

Kameelah is very excited to be a part of The Primary School. She understands the support teachers often need and request. Her passion for children is never-ending.
