Updates from the primary school
April 24, 2026
As The Primary School approaches its last day of school, we are focused on ending the year strong. Students and families at our East Palo Alto and East Bay campuses are working hard to close out their learning and prepare for what’s next after we close.
Our wonderful staff have been incredible in their commitment to learning and growth during this time of transition, and — together with local school leaders, particularly those at Ravenswood City School District — have provided tremendous support to our students and families as they determine the next steps in their education. Staff are also working together to prepare for and support their own career transitions.
Alongside the extraordinary work happening at our schools, our team continues to reflect on The Primary School’s journey and how we might share learnings to support the innovators and educators whose missions will carry on after we close our doors.
With this in mind, we have kicked off several initiatives in collaboration with a dedicated set of local and national partners to build on elements of our programming in our community and beyond moving forward. We are currently in the midst of program trainings for community partners and resource toolkit development, and the Stanford Center on Early Childhood’s CIRCLE team will be publishing a final Learning and Impact report later this Spring.
We appreciate the contributions our many community partners are making to support The Primary School’s students as they take the next steps in their educational journeys. This is an emotional moment for all of us, and we are grateful to the staff, partners, and especially families who have trusted us and built with us over the years.
We’ll continue to share our progress on these endeavors, as well as where you can access the final products of all our partnerships in the coming months.
